Who We Are

Rooted in Tradition,
Dancing Forward

Our Story

Alaska Native traditional dance is one of the oldest living art forms in the world. Our group was formed with a deep commitment to preserving and sharing these dances — not as relics of the past, but as vibrant, living expressions of cultural identity.

We draw from the rich traditions of our Ancestors. Sugpiat are the original peoples of Afognak and Kodiak Islands, Prince William Sound, Kenai and Alaska Peninsulas.
